Gregory's Tree

Gregory's Tree is located in Gregory National Park and is a large Boab Tree that stands at on the campsite of Augustus Gregory's 19th century expedition. Today, the tree is a registered sacred site for the local Ngarinman people and includes interpretive signs and audio recordings. Open to the public free of charge.

Knotts Crossing

History buffs visiting Katherine in the Northern Territory can check out the township's original site at Knotts Crossing. The Crossing was established in the 1870s and named after Frederick George Knott and today displays visible signs of the early pioneering centre, including three boab trees that are over 100 years old. Located 5 km north of Katherine along Gorge Road.
